The problem
The gate had stopped responding to every input — remote, keypad and the manual button on the operator.
How we diagnosed it
- Confirmed supply voltage at the transformer and at the board input. Both normal, ruling out the breaker and the power run.
- No diagnostic LED activity at all, which distinguishes a dead board from a board reporting a fault.
- Checked for insect nesting and moisture ingress in the enclosure, both of which cause board failures that look catastrophic and are preventable.
What we did
- Replaced the control board, reprogrammed limits and re-paired the remotes and keypad.
- Replaced the perished enclosure gasket, since the moisture that killed the board would have killed the new one on the same timeline.

What you should take from this
Replacing a board without finding out why it failed means replacing it again. A perished gasket, a cracked housing or a wasp nest is usually the actual cause, and it costs almost nothing to fix at the same time.
